The Joint Veterans Committee of Nash and Edgecombe Counties will be holding a flag raising ceremony at Jack Laughery Park in Rocky Mount on Saturday, February 15 at 11:00 AM. Each month the Committee honors a deceased veteran of Nash or Edgecombe county and their family by presenting them with a flag flown over the Park the previous month in their honor. The public is encouraged to attend to honor those who so honorably served our nation. To honor a Veteran of Nash or Edgecombe county, ask for an application at the ceremony or contact James Ervin at 252-903-3512. There is no charge for this service.
