Joint Veterans Committee Flag Raising Ceremony

The Joint Veterans Committee of Nash and Edgecombe Counties will perform a special flag raising ceremony at Jack Laughery Veterans Memorial Park in Rocky Mount on Saturday, February 21st starting at 11:00 am This month’s event will honor four Chaplains who died in 1943 after giving up their life jackets to save others. This event honors a deceased veteran and is a free service to an honorably discharged veterans’ family. For more information, come to the event or call Jim Taylor at 252-557-2114.
