Memorial Day Ceremony

The Joint Veterans Committee of Nash, Edgecombe and surrounding counties will be hosting a Memorial Day ceremony at Jack Laughery Park in Rocky Mount on Monday, May 29th to remember fallen heroes. The opening ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00. There will be a POW/MIA Fallen Comrades Ceremony followed by a rifle salute and the playing of “Taps”. The American flag will be raised to full staff at noon. Everyone is encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
