(2023) Episode 6 – Mary Strickland is a nurse who strives to do everything she can “to make Florence Nightingale proud.” She is a woman who has a passion for children, music, and her career in healthcare. Mary has spent many years as a neonatal intensive care nurse – caring for newborn babies, many of whom were born weeks or months prematurely, or with critical diagnoses – and now serves as the Vice President of Nursing at Nash UNC Healthcare. Mary is active in her church, and with her family, runs a cattle farm in Nash County.
