Healthy Smoothie Taste Testing

Church Security Seminar

Castalia Baptist Church on Main Street in Castalia will host a Church Security Seminar on Saturday, February 1 from 8 am to 1 pm. Registration begins at 7:30 am. Join law enforcement training consultants for a realistic discussion of church security and safety. All denominations are welcome.

Women’s Heart Health Seminar

Harold D. Cooley Library in Nashville will host a “Women’s Heart Health” seminar on Friday, February 7 from 5 to 5:45 pm. If you had heart disease could you recognize the symptoms? Learn the causes of heart disease in women and how to prevent it. This free event is open to the public.

Scouting for Food Campaign

The annual Scouting for Food campaign will take place Saturday, February 8th when local Packs and Troops will collect nonperishable food to be given to local food pantries. If you receive a door hanger on February 1st, you are asked to leave items for pickup before 9 am February 8th. 

Sausage, Egg, and Pancake Fundraiser

BBQ Pork Chop Fundraiser

The Coopers Volunteer Fire & Rescue Dept. on Volunteer Road in Elm City will have their BBQ Pork Chop fundraiser on Friday, February 28 from 11 am to 6 pm. Plates are $8 each. Eat in or drive through. Cake slices will also be available for a $1.00 each.
