The Joint Veterans Committee of Nash and Edgecombe Counties will be hosting a ceremony at Jack Laughery Park in Rocky Mount on Memorial Day to remember our fallen heroes. The opening ceremony will begin at 11am. All are welcome and encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.

Small Town USA will host a benefit concert for Jacob’s Friends on Saturday, June 24th beginning at 7:30. Contemporary Christian Band, “Grafted” will be followed by Tim Bunn’s tribute to Elvis. Tickets at ten dollars each. Jacob’s friends is a ministry which provides support children with special needs and their families.
Union Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount will have Vacation Bible School from June 25th through the 29th beginning at 6:30 each night. There will be classes for ages three through adults. Activities include Bible Lessons, crafts, snacks, and music.

The 2017 Summer Community Worship Services begins on Sunday, July 16th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rocky Mount. People from a variety of traditions are welcome to worship as people of God within the Body of Christ. Worship begins at 6pm at a different church each Sunday through August 6th.
