Military Appreciation Monday

Monday, November 14th is Military Appreciation Monday. This year all active-duty military, reserves and veterans are invited to a celebration at the Golden Corral on Wesleyan Blvd in Rocky Mount. Along with a ceremony, all military will receive a free meal (dine-in only).

Wilson Orchid Society

The Wilson Orchid Society will meet on November 14th from 6 to 7 at the Wilson Botanical Gardens (1806 Goldsboro Street SW) in Wilson. Come and learn about orchids and related plants. This group is for beginners and collectors alike.

Non-Perishable Food Collection

The Wilson Evening Lions will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Veterans Residential Services of Wilson on Saturday, November 19th from 10 until 4 at the Brentwood Shopping Center parking lot (2801 Ward Blvd) in Wilson. Donation of a few cans or a few cases will be greatly appreciated and used.

Angel Tree
