Franklinton’s National Night Out

Franklinton’s National Night Out has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 24th from 6 to 8pm.  National Night out is an international public safety movement meant to bring law enforcement and communities together.  The event is open to the public – meet at 101 N. Main Street in Franklinton.

Praise Jesus Ministries invites the public to join them on Saturday, September 25th from 4 to 7pm at Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forrest for a “Make Us One Ministries” gathering based on John 17.  Learn about the different ministries that are available.

Raleigh 9/11 Heroes Run 5K

The Travis Manion Foundation is one of the nation’s leading veterans service organizations and will host the Raleigh 9/11 Heroes Run 5K race on Saturday, September 11th at 8:30 am at the Jefferson L Sugg Farm Park in Holly Springs.  To register or to find more information, visit 911heroesrun.org.

Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church will host a Gospel Sing featuring “The Perrys” on Friday, September 17 at 7pm.  The church is located at 5921 Bridgersville Road in Elm City.  All are welcome.

NC Symphony Free Concert

The North Carolina Symphony will hold a free concert on Thursday, October 7th from 4 to 5pm on the lawn of the Wilson County Library.  The performance will feature members of the Symphony and The Concert Truck’s founding members.  Lawn Chairs and Blankets are encouraged.
